AccountAssist
Terms of service

The agreement, in plain words

Last updated 18 August 2026. By using AccountAssist you agree to what follows.

First, the important one

AccountAssist is a bookkeeping tool. It is not an accountant, and using it is not professional advice.

It helps you record transactions and read documents. It does not give accounting, tax or legal advice, and it does not file anything on your behalf. Your books, your tax returns and your compliance remain yours. Have a qualified accountant review anything that matters before you rely on it.

Every figure the model proposes is shown to you before it is posted, and nothing enters your ledger until you approve it. That approval is a decision you are making, and your name is recorded against it.

Who we are

AccountAssist is a product of Creta, a business operating from Kathmandu, Nepal. Registration in Nepal is in progress; these terms will be updated with the registered entity details once it completes.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself
Anything done by someone signed in as you is treated as done by you. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access.
Guest books live in one browser
If you use AccountAssist without signing up, your books are reachable only from that browser. Clear its cookies and they cannot be recovered — there is no email attached to prove they are yours. Sign up to make them durable.
You are responsible for who you invite
People you add to a company can see and, depending on the role you give them, change its books.

Plans and payment

There is a free tier, and paid plans with higher limits. Current limits and prices are on the pricing page and form part of these terms.

Online payment is not yet live: upgrades are arranged by hand, and no card details pass through this site. Because of that, billing terms and refunds are agreed directly with you at the time. If that changes, this section changes with it.

AI usage is metered per plan. Reaching a limit pauses AI features until the window resets; it never touches your books, and manual entry, reports and exports stay available.

Fair use

Do not use the service unlawfully, or to store records of unlawful activity.
Do not upload other people’s documents without the right to do so.
Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or work around plan limits.
Do not resell access without agreeing it with us first.

What we promise, and what we do not

We work to keep the service available and your data safe, but it is provided as-is, without warranty. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we depend on other companies — hosting and AI providers — whose outages we cannot control.

The engine refuses to post a figure it cannot find in your document, which prevents a whole class of error but is not a guarantee that your books are correct. Check your records. Keep your own copies — every report exports to Excel and CSV.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending it

You can stop using the service whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account and its books. Export anything you want to keep first.

We may suspend an account that breaks the fair-use rules above, or that puts the service or other users at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to export your data.

Changes, and the law that applies

We may update these terms. Substantive changes will be dated here, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.

These terms are governed by the law of Nepal, and disputes belong to the courts of Kathmandu.
